about me

A little about me….

Sometimes you just want a quick and dirty explanation of who someone is, don’t you? So here’s me, in roughly five sentences. If you want more information, check out this page for a slightly more wordy road map of who I am and why I blog.

Hi I’m Laura! I’m a Texan, born and raised – though I have spent a chunk of my life in Boston, Ma. Most days you won’t catch my accent, but I do say y’all excessively. I now live in Fort Worth, Texas with my super dreamy boyfriend and our two dogs, Lexi and Cary.

I’m a former finance spreadsheet monkey (aka: analyst) who left the corporate world to pursue my passions for healthy living, cooking and nutrition. I’m studying to be a Registered Dietitian and couldn’t be happier with my life now!

This blog is about my life, but I have to live my life first to generate content. For a girl that loves a routine, my blog is anything but. I seem to be pretty good at talking about food, home renovations, posting recipes and discussing my weight loss – so check out those topics, among everything else.

Contact buttons are in the sidebar – Can’t wait to hear from y’all :)

I love this! I spent about five years or so working at a daycare, and in the meantime getting married and turning into an “adult” (sort of!), and then I decided that I wanted to be a Dietician! I’m in my third year working towards my BS right now… and then I’m going to take the DTR exam. So pumped!
