It’s that time of the month again – Foodie Pen Pal day!
Ahhhh I am 8 months in to this program and I love it! I mentioned this last month, but I was one of the first participants and I’m still loving the program and ALL the friends I’ve made through it. I literally say this every month (I know because I copy and paste it – ha), but I URGE people to join this program if you’re looking to make new blogging friends and develop relationships with the “smaller” bloggers. Even if you don’t blog and just read – you can join too!
If you want to see my other packages, here’s September, October, November, December, January, February and March here.
In case you don’t know what Foodie Pen Pals is, here’s a quick overview:
The Foodie Pen Pals is a pretty simple concept. We all signed up to receive a pen pal and we were supposed to send them a package of food, costing only $15. Homemade treats can also be sent! The purpose is to expose fellow bloggers (and readers!) to new foods and all share our love of food! If you want a little more detail, check out founder Lindsay’s post to read the details.
If you want to sign up for the November swap, just email Lindsay at theleangreenbean@gmail.com and include the following information:
-Your full name
-Your email address
-Your blog name/address
-Your twitter handle (if applicable)
She needs your email by May 4th as pairings will be emailed on May 5th!
This month I sent my package to Lauren from Fun, Fit and Fabulous!. Lauren is also from the DFW area and I was SO excited to meet another blogger from DFW. I hope I run into her one day! Check out her blog if you want to see the gluten free goodies I sent to her.
My package came from one of my dearest blog friends – Sarah from Sarah Learns. I LOVE SARAH. I just need y’all to know that. I was so so so excited to find out we were matched this month. Sarah is such a sweetheart and I knew she was going to hook me up.
Y’all, she outdid herself. Seriously – she did such a good job and sent me such an amazing package. Definitely one of the best ones, mostly just because it came from someone that I already have a great relationship with!
Applesauce and jelly
Tea, a lemon lime spritzer drink, mint dark chocolate (swoon, my favorite) and maple almond butter
Strawberry yogurt covered pretzels (they are amazing!), garlic and baby onion crackers and peanut butter filled pretzels.
MMMMM These treats have been amazing this month! Thank you so much Sarah. Can’t wait to see you in Madison this summer
And sadly, I’m again not going to share links to everyone’s blogs. It’s just become too big now. But visit Lindsay’s post for this month to see everyone’s link there.

yay! i’m glad you liked your package!
i don’t know if i told you this in the note or not, but those potter’s crackers are our FAVORITE! we always get a package when we have people over for game night and they are devoured in an instant! the best flavor is rosemary, but it’s really hard to find because it seems to be everyone’s favorite! the one i sent you is my second favorite flavor.
Sarah, where did you get that jelly? Is it actually from Montello, the city?
We love those potter’s crackers too ~ and I can actually get them in town!
hey katie, the jelly isn’t local to madison – it’s made in canada. they have some pretty awesome jelly! i get it at the co-op.
Okkayyy… I thought that the jar said Montello, which got me excited because I drive through there on the way to my parents!
Nope Morello like Morello cherries!
BTW guys – I might have to move to Madison JUST to eat those Potter’s crackers. I completely forgot about them until I wrote this post and broke them out yesterday. They are already gone
ALSO – thank you so much. You are such a sweetheart and I’m so happy we were matched this month! Can’t wait to see you this summer
