giveaway: win a $50 amazon GC

Happy Monday blends!

Today I’m hosting my very first giveaway. This giveaway is coming from my own money (as in, I didn’t get Amazon to give me a gift card, unfortunately) and I want to offer you the chance to win a $50 gift card to Amazon!

I’m hosting this giveaway for a few reasons. First, I want to say thank you to all of you for moving to this new site with me. I’m so excited to be self-hosted now and to have a new shiny, pretty blog. Second, I’m obviously invested in growing my readership and want to attract new readers. To not admit this second part would be ridiculous on my behalf – so I’m just going to put it out there! No sugar-coating around here.

I decided to give an Amazon gift card because I love Amazon so much and shop there all the time. They have almost everything you could ever want and I just know that all of you will be able to find something to buy on there. I love Amazon so much, I probably shop there a little too often. I’m a prime member, so their website is the first place I check for everything. In fact, I’m a little jealous that I’m not using this $50 to spend on myself on Amazon

So here are the rules of the giveaway:

1. This giveaway will run from right now, 8am CST Monday July 25th, 2011 TO 5pm CST Friday July 29th, 2011. That means business hours this week – this giveaway is open.

2. This giveaway is for a $50 Amazon gift card that will be delivered via email from me to the winner.

3. I’m leaving this open to anyone living in the US or Canada only – mostly because Amazon has other sites for other countries and since I’m going through the US site, I don’t know if the giftcard is valid on other Amazon sites.

4. Each person can get up to 3 entries. Here’s how to enter:

I would totally buy the velcro wrist strap for my Garmin since I still haven’t gotten around to purchasing that. Or maybe a new CamelBak. Let’s be honest, the possibilities are pretty much endless.

Totally been a fan of The Odd Duck on Fb since it was up and running and if I won the gift card I would buy the Timex HRM that I’ve been eyeing for months now! I let my sister “borrow” my last HRM and she’s been enjoying it so much I can’t bring myself to ask for it back and figured I would just go ahead and get a new one for myself. And I don’t Tweet so I’ll have to miss out on that entry…but I can’t bring myself to do another social media outlet…they already suck way too much of my time! LOL

I would put the card toward a Fitbit (if I don’t get one for my birthday), or a yoga mat. I’m turning 36 in less than 2 weeks, and this is the first year where my gift request list is made up of all fitness related items. I don’t win stuff ever (seriously I’ve only won one thing in my life and it was soap! haha!!), buuuuutt since Laura is so awesome I’ll enter anyway! I need a sleepy mask for the HLS trip, and maybe some ear plugs too since Laura says she sometimes snores and Michelle’s a noisy sleeper as well! (love you girls!)
