What I ate Wednesday

Hey everyone! My crazy busy week is almost over.  I realize today is Thursday, which makes me a day late on this post. But – it’s up now! What I Ate Wednesday!

I saw this series last week on Sarah’s blog and decided to start contributing to it! Since I don’t post my daily meals, this will be a great way for you guys to see some clips of what I eat all day, every day!

Yesterday was insanely busy, just like today. I had a catering this morning for Robin and had to prep everything for it yesterday and then complete the catering today. It went great! However, I didn’t make it to the grocery store for the week until last night, so my groceries were a little slim yesterday.

My morning started with 1 cup cereal/1 cup skim milk, just like it does every day. The cereal on the left is my absolute favorite right now – Nature’s Path Optimum Slim. However, my box was out so I tried this other cereal I bought when I couldn’t find the Slim. It’s another Nature’s Path Optimum – Blueberry Cinnamon. I honestly don’t really like it, but I needed something to eat! Both of these cereals are awesome nutritionally though and keep me full for hours!

I also ate a nectarine. I try to eat fruit every day with breakfast – I think it’s a really easy way to up your fruit and veggie count for the day!

Later, I worked out (walking on the treadmill) and had a 0% raspberry chobani for an after-workout snack.

Lunch was eaten in the car, on my way to a meeting. I’m in love with these Easy Lunchboxes. I’ll have more info on that later as well. I packed a peanut butter and jelly on 10 grain bread, with some snap peas, mini cucumber and a string cheese. I ate the pineapple later as a snack.

I wasn’t done with my meeting until 5:30 and had to drive home an hour in traffic. I also needed to stop by the store, which I did on the way home. I bought some bulk trail mix to snack on because I was starving. I had about 3/4 of this around 7pm.

Dinner was at 8:30. I picked up a cooked turkey breast at the store and roasted some red potatoes and carrots. I went back for a few more veggies to finish dinner!

That’s it. BUSY day. Normally I eat dinner much earlier, but I was just so busy all day. I can’t wait to post more in this series in the future!

Yay- WIAW!!! Have you tried the Nature’s Path Heritage Flakes? Love them! Also, roasted vegetables are like one my favorite things in the world!
